FAQ

General Questions

What kind of curriculum do you follow?
We implement the HighScope Curriculum, a research-based approach to early childhood education. This curriculum promotes active learning through hands-on experiences and intentional teaching. It supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills in a nurturing environment.
Is there a sleep or rest time?
A designated rest time is part of each day’s schedule. Children are provided with a quiet, comfortable space to nap or rest their bodies. This downtime supports healthy development and helps children recharge for the remainder of the day.
Is outdoor play supervised?
All outdoor play is closely supervised by our staff to ensure children’s safety and well-being. Teachers remain actively engaged during outdoor time, providing guidance and support. Our outdoor areas are secure and designed to encourage exploration and physical development.
What are the staff qualifications?
All lead and assistant teachers meet or exceed the certification standards set by the Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL). Lead teachers typically have completed TECE 1 and 2, hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or possess relevant college credits or degrees in early childhood education. Assistant teachers are required to have a high school diploma, relevant training or coursework, and at least six months of experience working with children from birth through second grade.
How are tuition and fees determined?
Tuition and fees are based on your child’s age, schedule, and the type of care needed. We accept both private pay and Purchase of Care (POC) assistance. For detailed information, please contact our enrollment team to discuss your specific situation.
